Keep your government hands off my medicare!

Maybe “Poker Face” is actually a medical condition?

The USDA makes all kinds of recommendations about what and how much to consume. So if they’re keeping us safe from Salmonella and E. Coli and all kinds of other nasty infectious diseases, why can’t they keep us safe from equally infectious strains of pop music?

So it is with trepidation (and a maybe a bottle of Purell) that I read today that Glee, a TV show I have almost given up on entirely, will have another tribute episode dedicated to Lady Gaga. Ummm didn’t Glee already did a Lady Gaga tribute episode last May? Oh right they totally did. The show’s producers say that the Glee kids will learn about “self-acceptance and self-expression through Gaga songs” like her new single ‘Born this Way’. Didn’t they already learn about that self-acceptance and self-expression through Gaga songs last time? How many times is Lady Gaga going to flare up on this TV show like a nasty case of gonorrhea? Teaching tolerance is all well and good but eventually it gets stupid: take some penicillin and get over yourself.

Oh well, I suppose if the USDA was ever going to try to keep us safe from horrible bacteria AND successful pop music they would have quarantined Ke$ha in a leper colony on Molokai months and months ago.
