I believe that’s eucharist wine in his cup

Anyone looking for interesting contemporary art in Washington D.C. might also consider using that time to, say, find a job in Las Vegas or use their boobs to give Ryan Seacrest a boner: if you haven’t guessed, it’s a pointless and degrading endeavor.

Ya see, the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery (one of why favorite places to pee in Washington D.C.) had a taxpayer funded art exhibition featuring “imagery of genitalia, homoerotic situations, and Christ covered in ants.” Of course the right wing freaked out because, to them, the Son of the Lord is not a picnic blanket. That weepy idiot John Boehner’s lamented that “American families have a right to expect better from recipients of taxpayer funds in a tough economy”. Now the piece has been taken down.

God the right wing in this country are such babies. Do you know what you can show in a taxpayer funded art exhibit in France? I saw this and this in Paris in 2007. Even those uptight Brits would be happy to have a giant portrait of Jesus snorting coke off of Joan of Arc’s ass. The right was pretty cautious in denouncing the attempted Koran burning in September, but ants on a Jesus. That’s too far!

So thanks for giving into Boehner’s cranky complaints, Smithsonian. You’ve proved that much like fashion, Washington D.C. is where art goes to die.
